Students delve into the multifaceted changes experienced during puberty, encompassing emotional, physical, and relational shifts. The course provides an understanding of the reproductive systems while fostering an environment where students can voice concerns and seek clarity.

This course looks into the relationship between puberty and reproduction. Students are guided through the incredible nine-month progression from conception to birth, while gaining understanding of the human reproductive system and the essentials for fetal development.  

Through this course, students take a look at how puberty impacts their physical appearance, deepening their grasp on self-esteem and its influences. There is an emphasis on media's role in sculpting body image perceptions and fostering self-awareness of personal views.

Students explore the diverse sources from where they get their information about sex, love, and relationships, including media, parents, peers, teachers, and religion, considering the various messages received. The course gently navigates through the facets of healthy relationships, boundaries, and consent, encouraging students to reflect on and shape their beliefs about these topics.

This course delves into the realities and repercussions of unplanned pregnancies, focusing on the emotional and practical dimensions. Students acquire a comprehensive understanding of available options when facing an unplanned pregnancy, effective contraception methods, and the resources available to teenagers in Switzerland.

Through these classes, students examine the influences of media and pornography on personal development and self-worth. Delving into real vs. media portrayals of intimacy, the course highlights the repercussions of sexting, the hazards of peer pressure, and reiterates the significance of consent in both friendships and romantic relationships.

This course educates students about the nature and relevance of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), especially focusing on those prevalent among teenagers. By discussing symptoms, treatment, and prevention, students are equipped to make informed decisions, with emphasis on the impact of substance use on sexual behavior and the essentiality of consistent testing.

In this course, students further engage with the concept of consent, understanding its importance, manifestations, and boundaries. It highlights the role of individual values in shaping perceptions, clarifies the importance of consent in respectful relationships, and equips students to discern between genuine consent and coercive tactics.
